Canyon
Far Far West · Tier 3 Region Guide
Tighter chokepoints, vertical fights, and noticeably harder enemy mixes. Hosts Otto's questline and one of the three trainwrecks.
Canyon at a glance
Canyon is a mid-game region in Far Far West — vertical canyon biome with tight chokepoints, dynamite-blocked passages, and heavier elite spawn rates than the tutorial trio. Difficulty tier 3 of 5 (mid-game). Available from your first run — no questline or trainwreck recovery required. Its secret mission rewards the Pick Pick Joker (challenge id: secret-canyon). The Gravekeeper challenge for this region awards 1,000 Souls.
Canyon difficulty & progression
Canyon is in the starter rotation, so you can drop in straight from the first lobby visit. The Canyon secret mission rewards the Pick Pick Joker, tracked in the Challenges board as "Complete secret mission (Canyon)". Most players run it once for the reward and then revisit the map only for grave clears or contracts. Clearing every grave in Canyon feeds the "Release all souls (Canyon)" Gravekeeper challenge (1,000 Souls); soul totals accumulate across runs.
How to unlock Canyon
Canyon sits in the starter rotation — drop in any time from the lobby's region select. No challenge gate to clear.
Canyon secret mission — step by step
Entry point
A sealed cave door in the Canyon with four medallion slots. Find each of the four medallions, then return to insert them.
Step-by-step walkthrough
- Sheriff's Medallion — loot the dead Sheriff right outside the cave wall.
- Bobby Dynamiter's Medallion — pick up the dynamite at the caved-in tunnel entrance and blast through the rocks blocking the medallion.
- Sweaty / Prospector's Medallion — grab a nearby shovel and dig through the rubble at the bottom of the gorge.
- Johnny Hawkeye's Medallion — find the safe on the west side; shoot all 10 wall targets to drop the safe's counter to zero, then loot the medallion.
- Return to the cave wall and insert all four medallions to open the door.
Common pitfalls
- The Hawkeye safe targets are spread across the area — pan the camera, they don't pulse on the minimap.
- Beyond the door are Elder Pickaxes + gold veins; mining inside the cave is sped up. Don't extract immediately after grabbing the Joker.
