Woodlands
Far Far West · Tier 3 Region Guide
Forested mid-game biome with denser enemy clusters. Adds the Shroom Grave secret joker and a deeper soul-collection grind.
Woodlands at a glance
Woodlands is a mid-game region in Far Far West — forested mid-game biome — denser enemy clusters and an extended soul-collection grind, gated behind a questline NPC. Difficulty tier 3 of 5 (mid-game). Locked behind a questline — finish willy billy's questline in far west. Its secret mission rewards the Shroom Grave Joker (challenge id: secret-woodlands). The Gravekeeper challenge for this region awards 1,000 Souls.
Woodlands difficulty & progression
Woodlands unlocks once you finish "Finish Willy Billy's questline in Far West" — the questline NPC stays on a previous map until you trigger the unlock condition. The Woodlands secret mission rewards the Shroom Grave Joker, tracked in the Challenges board as "Complete secret mission (Woodlands)". Most players run it once for the reward and then revisit the map only for grave clears or contracts. Clearing every grave in Woodlands feeds the "Release all souls (Woodlands)" Gravekeeper challenge (1,000 Souls); soul totals accumulate across runs.
How to unlock Woodlands
The questline NPC stays on a different map until you trigger the unlock condition. Progress carries across runs, so you can split the chain across sessions; the region appears on your select the moment the final quest extracts successfully.
Woodlands secret mission — step by step
Entry point
Shroom Stone on the east side of Woodlands — interact with it to reveal a map of seven numbered mushroom locations.
Step-by-step walkthrough
- Open the map after touching the Shroom Stone to see numbered notes 1–7 marking mushroom locations.
- Visit each mushroom in numerical order (1 → 7). Out-of-order interaction resets progress.
- Working clockwise from the south-east corner is the standard route: SE rocks → far south dead tree → SW behind the lighthouse → W shipwreck → NW cliff → far N rock-in-water → NE metal tower.
Common pitfalls
- Interacting with mushrooms out of sequence resets the puzzle — re-walk from the Shroom Stone if you mis-tap.
- Woodlands itself is questline-locked behind Willy Billy in Far West; you cannot run this until Woodlands is unlocked.
